Santoprene brand TPVs can be extrusion blow molded, offering potential part cost savings and design flexibility over traditional thermoset rubber parts. The process of extrusion blow molding is used to produce hollow parts. In the extrusion blow molding process, a molten tube, or parison, is extruded and then enclosed in a cavity and injected with compressed air. The parison expands outward, forming a hollow article in the shape of the cavity.

Santoprene TPVs are well suited for most blow molding technologies, including single layer, multi-layer, exchange blow, sequential 3D, suction blow, flashless extrusion blow, injection blow and press-blow molding.
